|About Clay|

My name is Claytine Nisbett, aka Clay, and as the saying goes, “I live where you vacation!” I live in the Caribbean. I was born in the twin island state of Antigua and Barbuda but I grew up in New York. I came back to the Caribbean several years go (six years at the time of writing this) so I have that famous New York accent, lol. I love to write and have had several blogs throughout the years. However, the commitment was not there. I am committed now though (smile).

I recently wrote a book called, Life As Josephine, and I figured serious writers should consistently write, so this little corner I rent on the internet is the vessel I use to express myself. I am a passionate woman who is passionate about women supporting each other. I am tired of the haters. Can’t we all just get along?!! I believe that women should make special efforts to support each other and I have coined the phrase Ujima Woman.

You will find a lot of encouraging words and inspiration on this blog. I post small burst of encouragement on a weekly basis I call #Encouragement101. I also have a series I call To Sis, With Love where I write uplifting creative letters for women, celebrating the joys of life and womanhood. You will also find full-length featured blog posts that can vary from faith to career. Finally, I have a section called The Writer’s Corner which is specifically dedicated to the process of writing.

OH, and every once in a while I will do a book review. If you want me to review a book then check my contact page and send me an email or leave a comment!

I look forward to this journey with you!
